The Expert's opinion

The "Signature" label of Nicklaus, means that Jack himself has been behind the design. This is the first of this standard in Southamerica, you can't miss the chance of tasting it by yourself.

Additional information

Pilará has arrived in times of great expansion of golf in Argentina, helping to raise the standards of the best courses in the country. This is the first SIGNATURE golf course built by Jack Nicklaus Design studio in Latin America, which implies a large personal commitment from JACK himself throughout the entire process; from the master plan, to the construction and its inauguration. Laying over 76 hectares of beautiful land, this course of modern design has been perfectly adapted to the original field, achieving the goal of building a demanding course for scratches, but very enjoyable for average less experienced golfers. With four men's tee boxes from 6,072 to 7,216 yards and 5,083 yards for the ladies, the 18-hole par 72 course that can be played in cart features 76 bunkers, and an average size of 450m2 per green. 8 of the holes are protected with water hazards requiring some target shots to place the ball in the precise spot. But its distinctive feature is the rolling undulations on their fairways and especially on the greens, where great skills for putting are required. During the sunset, the lateral late sunlight evidences the dramatic movement that the designers have chosen to define the personality of this great course.

Signature Hole

9th / Par 4 / 412 yds
Chosen also as the most beautifull hole in the course, the 9th is a long par 4 of 412 yds "with options" as Jack called it. Taking the right side you can shorten your way flying over the 4 bunkers protecting the landing area, while taking the left side you can avoid risks but will have a longer more complicated approach, to an elevated diagonal crossing green, protected with a deep bunker for short shots.
